Open online course on climate change offered by The World Bank Group

The World Bank Group is launching its first open online course on climate change and ocean acidification. The series of lectures starts on January 27th, 2014. Registration at the education platform Coursera is open already.

Will your community be drier or wetter? Will it be hotter or colder? How will climate change affect your food supply and your water? What steps can you and your community take to prepare for some of these changes? And what can you do about  tackling climate change, a challenge that affects us all?
In an open online course launched by the World Bank Group, leading thinkers give insight in the most recent scientific evidence and open up valuable perspectives.
The lectures, activities and excercises start on January 27th, 2014 and take four weeks. To receive a certificate, participants have to complete quizzes based on the core videos and readings each week and three assignments sharpening their skills of analysis, reflection and communication. This will take around three hours per week.
