Members of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) are:

- Jean-Pierre Gattuso (Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche, France)
- Michael Thorndyke (University of Gothenburg, Sweden)
- Carol Turley (Plymouth Marine Laboratories; UK)
The SAB, which is chaired by James Barry, advises the coordinator in all relevant aspects concerning scientific progress, management and international integration of the project.
The board is informed about BIOACID activities on a regular basis by the project coordinator and manager and attends the annual meetings of the project.
